A community feast was held Aug 28 at the Community Hall. Organizer, Cheryl Bear, Community Services Director, said that there is a need for such gatherings to be held regularly to bring the community together in a good way. “We need to get together, not just for funerals, or drug crisis, but to come and eat, laugh and visit with one another,” she said. About 110 people enjoyed baked spaghetti, Cesar salad, soup and desert to the theme “back to school.” The feasts are being held monthly.

A sacred fire was lit in the early morning by the Peguis sign and tobacco was offered to as a prayer for the community. The community was invited to say prayers as school children resume their studies for a safe and healthy school year.
