After a tumultuous start to the school year, Peguis Central School is now headed by a full complement of administration staff and school has resumed. Nelson Mason, who was vice-principal for grades nursery – grade 3, is now the principal. Rhonda McPherson, who was Literacy intervention teacher, is the vice-principal for Nursery – grade 6, and Vivian Chaske is the vice-principal for grades 7 – 12.
The council is in the process of announcing a new school board. The superintendent position is currently posted with a deadline of Sept. 22. It is expected that the superintendent position will be filled by the end of the month.
The council has announced band meetings for Peguis – Sept. 27 and Selkirk Sept. 28.
