First Nation lobby organizations in free fall like SCO

I was thinking about the election of Kyra Wilson as the new Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs grand chief.
My question is who watches out for the little guy and gal in all of this?
To get nominated for AMC grand chief, you need seven chiefs to sign your nominating papers. At no time, does input from grassroots First Nations happen.
The nominating and election process has to change.
And what effect Southern Chiefs Organization Grand Chief Jerry Daniels had on helping to get her elected.
Each of the nominees carried some baggage with them as they vied for the role of AMC grand chief.
Though he denied the $172 million debt claimed by PwC in a court filing, Glenn Hudson still bore the weight of that albatross that saw this once long time Peguis First Nation chief only garnering four votes.
Glenn seemed to blame a current sitting chief for being against him in a Facebook post.
“As a candidate for Grand Chief for the upcoming Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs elections, I am deeply troubled by the recent acts of lateral violence perpetrated by a current chief. This behavior is not only unacceptable but also detrimental to the unity and strength of our communities.”
Now, this claim by PwC had not been adjudicated so I can’t say if it is owed or not owed and the claim because it has not been proven in a court of law can’t be included in any audited statement.
Bava Dillon has his own detractors on social media that if proven true would rival anything done by Daniels.
Leroy Constant, the last candidate mentioned here, garnered 10 votes. He had no accusations against him but at the same time there is little known about Constant. Maybe, he’s got a shot in the future. Hey, he did come in second.
