You meet all kinds of people at Peguis Treaty days. This summer, 3 players on the Peguis Redmen baseball team are from Prague, Chzech Republic.

Adam Vit (left), Jonas Voracek (middle) and Yan Strouchal (right) were helping out at the Mike Sutherland stand on Friday July 24.
Voracek, 21, played in the international 2026 U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup
baseball championships in Columbia in April 2026.  In Prague he plays with a local team Joudrs.
“I come here [Peguis] every summer now. This is my third year,” he said.  “My national team manager arranged for players to get to the states or to Canada. And he got in contact with Mike Sutherland and that is how we ended up here.”
Mike Sutherland is the manager of the Peguis Redmen baseball team which has won tournaments in Canada and the US.
“Last week I visited a sun dance. That was a very interesting experience for me,” said Jonas.
